Re Manfredi is grown and harvested on the
Gargano Peninsula in Puglia .
The trees are located on the sandy shore of the Adriatic
Sea . These olives are hand picked before they fully ripen. The olive varietals used are similar to
Tuscan oils. The taste of this oil is full fruity, with a hint of almond and a
peppery finish. This is also excellent for salads, un-cooked
sauces, and for drizzling over meats, and fish just off the grill.
Rosemary and Tony discovered this oil at Salune del Gusto sponsored by Slow Food
Organization.
